Saint Nicholas THE WONDER worker The icon was painted during the 19th century. Egg tempera, gesso on wood panel. A traditional depiction, St. Nicholas shown dressed as a bishop. Overlaid with a fabulous reposes and chased silver gold gilded riza, original wooden kiot with gilded frame. Imperial warrant and 84 standard (875/1000) silver. Size: Kiot- H- 5 ½” (14 sm.) L 4 ½” (11,5 sm.) W 2” (5 sm.) Icon- 2 ½” x 3 1/3” (6,5 sm. X 8 sm.)
